Verizon Wireless has the Motorola MOTO Q 9c SmartPhone for $200 - $50 rebate with 2-year contract = $150 with free shipping. It is based on the Windows Mobile 6 Standard OS, with VZ Navigator capability & 1.3 megapixel camera with flash.

According to Verizon, they have the Moto Q 9c. Suggest you contact Verizon #1 and set them straight. Wink

Have they improved battery life at all from the original MotoQ? I have that one, and battery life sucks - on good days I make it through the day without running out of juice. And the battery itself is good.

#3, are you using bluetooth? That could be a reason why battery life isn't good.

#1 They're all the same Q9c, Q9m. They are all wolves in sheeps' clothing. And I'm not talking about the Phones.

Battery life is improved over the Q.. probably a software thing since the Q9's have the same hardware as the Q. But then again, it all depends on how you use the phone. And yes, Verizon has both Q9c and Q9m.

I have the Sprint Q9c, and it comes with an extended battery, which lasts all day and then some. The Verizon Q9m comes with the regular battery, which has a shorter life span. Awesome phone!!

Well I hope this phone is better than the LG Chocolate, which is a crappy phone.

No, the Moto Q's battery life sucks. It's probably good for 36 hours if you don't make any phone calls and don't use your data plan at all. However, I've definitely seen it last as little as 10 hours with moderate to heavy usage (no BT though).

And this is fresh out of the box new. Battery life just sucks with the original Q unless you have the extended battery. Sprint just gave us some loaner phones this week and the new Q (9c I THINK) they included already had the extended battery in it.

My wife has a Q, and it'll be a LONG time before I buy another Moto product.

The more "smart phones" I use, the more I think I'm just gonna get a 3g iPhone. (I'm currently trying an 8300 World edition BB, and I'm not a fan.)

I've got the Sprint Moto Q9c with the extended battery. It's rated at 7 1/2 hour talk. The normal battery is rated for 4. Reviews I've read and my own use suggest that those figures are accurate if you use it just for talking. The Q9m has significantly more RAM and storage but the form factor is the same. You can use all the same cases, holsters, etc..

One of the most common reasons cited on the MotoQ forums for short battery life is e-mail. I think it defaults to checking e-mail like every 5 minutes. I'm not sure since I just use the Gmail web interface rather than IMAP/Outlook. Many users report changing the interval to something more reasonable (say 30 minutes) helps a lot.

I've also found that continuous GPS navigation drains my battery twice as fast or more. If I used it continuously as a GPS, I wouldn't be surprised if my 7.5 hour battery (talk time) died after 2.5-3 hours.

Who would buy a Smartphone with 1.3 megapixel camera these days?! Get the Verizon Wireless XV6900 (or HTC TOUCH), it's much smaller, and it has a 2.0 camera.

#13, that would be me. I would buy a smartphone with no camera at all. In fact I did, before the moto-q I had Treo 650 with no camera. I don't need a camera in my phone.
