isn't this nothing more than a standard mini-B connector?
You're really paying for the Motorola software. I got this two months ago, the disc looked like it was originally for Chinese market but when I installed it, it upgraded online to current version (in english). Mine works fine with Razr (the version that takes microSD cards, I think its V3m).
Wiil not work with verizon
#3 is right. Verizon cripples all the phones they sell, so don't even bother getting it if you have Verizon. Actually, don't ever bother going with Verizon at all. You can get limited functionality with Verizon and other CDMA carriers (if there are any others anymore--I don't even pay attention) by using BitPIM, which you can download at Sourceforge.
Most Razr's come with the USB cable, but nothing comes with the software anymore. This is a good deal.
