Newegg has the Motorola SB6121 SURFboard Broadband Cable Modem for $80 with free shipping. Features DOCSIS 3.0 Security compatibility, maximum theoretical speeds of 171.537 Mbps, and has RJ-45 ethernet and 75ohm F-connector interfaces.
I had a few modem+wifi router devices, but always switched to a dedicated modem and a separate wifi router and often used the modem in the bridge mode. There's more selection in getting a separate wifi router, the quality will be better, installing DD-WRT firmware on the wifi router offers a plethora of great features and there's a way to switch from cable to DSL or whatever without changing the router.
These can be found for roughly $60 with a staples coupon at times. I wouldn't say this price is very special, its currently the same price at many other retailers.
anyone seen deals on a cable modem/wireless router compatible with road runner?
only has 4 channel bonding.
newer modems have 8 channel bonding.
noob question - what is bonding?

@terrenceistheman bonding is where multiple channels are 'bonded' together for faster speed.
