IMiIKo may be right, but these signal boosters are awesome. I have this exact model in my house and it cleared up all cable static. A good buy, imo. ( Stay away from the cheapees ).

Good point #1. I dont know why Ben keeps posting this item?! It seems like this item goes on this site once a month or so... and guess what, its the been the same price. I agree that its a good product, but if everywhere else is selling it at this price, why is this posted here?

I had this as well. I say had because after about 5 years it finally crapped out and instead of removing signal issues, it was causing them. Another problem is that with the new Tivo boxes, this can cause the signal to be too hot.

My advice would be to call your cable company, and get them to check your signal levels first. They have to provide a good signal quality at the point of your connection, and if it is too low, they will typically install their own signal booster for free. If the problem is in your house wiring though, this is not a bad unit. Works well with cable modems also.

Can I ask a cable modem question? If I have cable running to four rooms, does it matter which line I connect the modem to? Yes, the cable is active and so is the internet service.

#5 I would recommend the modem be installed as close to where the cable comes into the house. Less chance of noise and what not hitting the line.
