I have 10 cable tv jacks in my house. The cable guy said I should use these if I put more than 4 on the same splitter.
I have 7 tv jacks at my house. Before I have the booster, TV signal both (Cable or Antenna) are week and snowy. By adding the booster, I am able to pickup more channels and all snowy issues are gone. I should buy it earlier. Have been suffered for many years. I don't think you cable internet will be faster at least no in my case.
You may want to buy it from amazon.com. Same price but no sales tax.

does this require electrical power?
"includes AC adapter"
#3:
No, it is a perpetual motion machine. It does require a steam source, though.
WB
Does it work acutally?
how is it different from an amplified antenna if it amplifies signal? i just bought an amplified antenna 18db with a similar amplifier + AC adapter. not only it didn't improve anything it made reception worse, amplified or not. using with converter box.
Does it work? I would suspect so. The thing is that a lot of people don't necessarily need it. Those like #1 and #2 do because splitting the signal weakens it and a boost gets it back to a preferred level. If you are at a good level, adding it can make your signal worse by making the signal too strong for the equipment (cable box/cable modem).
#5 A steam powered perpetual motion machine? HMMMM Is that like using a toaster to warm the bath water?
#1, if you have ten jacks, why would you need four on a splitter? What, you wanna hook up 40 freakin TVs?
#5, if its a perpetual motion machine it wouldnt use a power source of any kind once started. I think. Unless I have that wrong..
might need one of these for my junk apartment cable wiring
#7 - this *is* different from an amplified antenna. First it works across the whole cable frequency set, rather than being limited to over-the-air freqs. Second it is bidirectional and so works both with cable modems and also set top boxes that use a return path (i.e for video on demand). Thirdly, it is a cleaner (better) amp than most cheapies you can buy for an antenna.
Consider yourself edjumacated.
This product does require power, which is why an A/C adapter is included. If you live in an area close to hills/mountains, this will not help at all. I've been experiencing poor signals since I've been living here and have gone through 3 different antennas and none worked... however, I recently found a solution - the digital to analog converter!
I have an analog tv at home so had to purchase one and went from having only 3 clear channels to 55! I hooked the converter to my hdtv and got the same channels. Hope this helps anyone with poor signal.
Oh and don't forget to apply for the government coupon: https://www.dtv2009.gov/
Just get Fios TV and be done with it.
hmmm thanks number 13
