silylanjie, I was debating between the two as well. Even though the Galaxy is supposed to have a superior screen and much lighter, I decided on the Xoom in the end because: it uses a vanilla (unmodified android OS), it accepts microSDHC for additional storage, and it supports HDMI output without a special cable..
Accepting microSDHC it is a big plus compare to the Samsung Galaxy that doesn't have expanding memory capability .. (unless getting a USB adapter for flash memory)
No problem putting in a 32GB MicroSD card. 4G upgradable is a plus as well if you chose to go with a data plan. Unlike the iPad you can change the battery. The OS is very clean, very little bloatware.
I recently got new 32GB Lenovo k1 @techonweb for $299; BH still has it for $320 I've tried them all in various stores (Samsung XOOM, ASUS...) and as far as I an tell all these tablets are prettry close Excellent UI enhancements on top of Android 3.1 + price tag made me pick Lenovo honestly I do not understand why one would pick refurb for $325+tax over new one for $300
10" is too big for me to consider portable, might as well take my netbook which probably does more and cost less. I think the 7" tablets would be a better size for what I would do with one.
This or the Samsung Galaxy tab...
