Link is broken. Go to http://www.ewiz.com/detail.php?name=MS-U100451.
3 cell battery, no "n" wireless. Compare if you like. Best deal is the new Asus PC 1000HE at Amazon, $374 with better than previous 6 cell and newer processor.
never heard of the manufacturer or seller.
It's the MSI Wind. Not-so-recent notebook review here:
http://www.notebookreview.com/default.asp?newsID=4498
Interesting quote: "The Wind is another mini notebook in a field originally started by the ASUS Eee PC, but with one primary catch: It is priced well under the equivalent Eee PC. Now having a better price doesn't always mean you are going to win in any given market, but the MSI really outdid themselves and created a great mini notebook. Read on to see just how much ASUS should fear the MSI Wind."
Like the 160GB and 10" screen. 3-cell battery is a definite turn-off.
#1 Thanks for fixing the link...unfortunately the "." in your URL is causing a misdirect.
joe_knowitall, your name is misleading.
#5 HA!
does anyone know if this is glossy screen or anti glare screen? The only one antiglare is Asus that i know of for the netbook. Lenova, Dell, Acer and HP are all glossy which defeats the purpose of mobility as you cannot see anything if there is a bit of sun hitting it on them glossy screens.
Antiglare. Very bright.
I'd spend the extra $100 and get the HP Mini 2140.
Aluminum case, 80211a/b/g/n, bluetooth, gigabit ethernet and a real keyboard. Comes with 6 cell battery and doesn't look like a toy.
Also comes with Expresscard/54 slot for a docking station or 3G broadband card.
You can still get OSX and Win7(why?) to run on it and since it's a "business" grade netbook, you'll get decent support from HP.
Look for HP 2140 on PCMall.
#5 you so smart. good observation
No wireless? WTF would you want a 10" for if it isn't portable? Unless you live in my moms basement, and have to surf porn under the covers so no one knows you're a ****. On the other hand, that would be most of the people here. nevermind...
when did it say no wireless jklyank? mr. ed said no "N" wireless, I guess you do live in my mom's basement. come out and join the world a little, with the rest of us, please.
Why do you guys live in each others mom's basements?
#13, maybe because they're brothers?
Oh baconnaise.... Are you guys like step brother?
#9 thanks for the tip on the HP 2140, which sells at 449 + 15-20 shipping, or 464-469...a bit more than '$100' above this MSI...over 50% more.
You can get a wirelesee-N and Bluetooth version from JR for $40 more http://www.jr.com/msi-microstar/pe/MSR_U100422CA/
#17 right you are and also a 6-cell battery....
No deal Ben...
the 1st-gen netbooks will be in the gutter soon. Intel has dual-core Atoms ready, and Nvidia the Ion chipset for it. 2nd-gen netbooks will have far better video playback and general processing power.
when are the second-gen versions going to be available to the public?
