802.11b/g WiFi and "a battery life up to 5.5 hours". Looks like the 1000HE is still the better deal.

Exactly what I was going to say, #1. The EEE 1000HE occasionally shows up for $370, and it is a small price to upgrade to a 9 cell battery.

You can get the u123 with a 9cell for $379 on amazon... seems like a nice enough netbook... 802.11n would be nice, but I don't even know anyone with an N router. What are you doing on your netbook that you need that much speed? Aren't netbooks for surfing the net? 54mbps is plenty for me (considering my internet connection is only 7mbps, and I wouldn't be transferring much data to a netbook), and I like the red option.

My Trendnet N router has greater range than the G router it replaces. Can't tell about speed. Instantly connects with any computer without configuration.

I get 6 hours easy out of my Asus 1000HE, probably more if I want to tweak something.

Yes N is about more than speed. 2.4 is a crowded band.

I have a MSI u120 with 6 cell and it's only 2.3lb. It so much lighter compared with my friends 1000HA (3.2lb, 6-cell)! The MSI u123 look the same with u120, but not sure about 1000HE and 1000HA.

Battery life for u120 6-cell is >5.5hr without wireless, with Atom N270. I guess u123 with Atom N280 should run much longer. Overall I'm very happy with my u120.
