Newegg has the MSI Wind PC Intel 945GC 1 x 200Pin Intel GMA 950 Black Barebone System for $139 - $15 rebate [Exp 7/31] + $11 shipping = $126 shipped. Add some 200Pin Notebook SODIMM Memory & a Hard Drive to get it functional. Operating system not included. Here's an article discussing the power usage of systems based on this architecture.

Anyone who buys themselves an Atom-based computer will be kicking themselves in the very near future. People are discovering that battery life isn't everything and there will be a move to more powerful platforms... and F%&k! the battery. People want small, light, cheap, and actually useful.

There are any uses that don't require a speedy processor.

#1, i dont see a battery on this thing.

with that said, i have a dual core atom based NAS running off a 60 watt power supply and it works great. very useful.
