interesting how it shows the lanes in the screenshot.
That's the "Reality View" perspective screen it shows at certain large highway intersections.
Can't wait to hear again how the satellites will start falling from the skies...**sigh**...
Works great but don't expect the lifetime traffice option to be all that.
yeah Chrisman.. I agree with you..... the concept of "having all Garmin or Tom Tom GPS units all turn on at the same time and overload the satellite". that's classy...
He's a putz...doesn't have the faintest clue how GPS works.
I just read somewhere else that he's a 'troll' just baiting others to get in an argument with him about it...sorry I fell for it; he seems like a true rodeo cowboy.
How is the reality view? will it show most street signs and speed limits, or just in major areas?
http://www.gpsmagazine.com/2007/12/navigon_7100_review.php suggests for the 7100 "Verdict: Some neat features, but frustrating and difficult to use."
All three Navigon models include the visually stunning "Reality View" as well as text-to-speech (the GPS announces the actual street names). The 5100 and 7100 have greater map coverage, subscription-free lifetime traffic data, slightly longer battery life, and Zagat Guide data. The 7100 adds Bluetooth and more POIs (Points of Interest).
This site picks the Garmin Nuvi's above Magellans, above TomTom's, with Navigon in the pack middle http://www.gpsmagazine.com/buyers_guide.php
Navigon 8100 anyone? 4.8in, RealityViewPro and more. when will it be available? This Spring in Europe ...
