Bloat software. You can get it for about the same price anytime on eBay. I had trouble with it messing and conflicting with Windows XP and had to uninstall all the extra stuff to restore the operating system. All I wanted to do is burn some Cd's and all this extra garbage came along. I was happy with Nero 5 until I started getting the blue screen of death. Nero 7 fixed this problem. I am now happy with just the Cd burner piece.

I was happy with Nero 6. Upgraded to Nero 7. Agree with #1, it's really bloated! Now Nero 8 is out. It's got even more crap! I think it's time to find a new burner program.

Just don't install all the bloatware. Nero is still the best burning program. You just gotta filter through the crap to get to it.

Isn't #4 right? Can't you just install the parts you want? What, besides this do you need to make backup copies of your DVD movies?

Crash And Burn - Posted 8:31 am PDT 10/31/07 (3056 Posts)  Report Spam

#5 a ripping program that will decrypt the DVD and possibly crush it down to fit on a low cost single layer DVD. I use DVDShrink mostly but sometimes it chokes on the encryption on some of the newer DVD's. When I run into this I use DVDFab and it can usually crack it then use DVDShrink to crush it down since I find it easier to use than DVDFab. DVDFab has some nice features for making files for portable media devices.

Unfortunately all versions of DVD Shrink and DVD decrypter now inform the MPAA of your name, address, and IP address. *smirk*

go with clone dvd2 with anydvd through slysoft.. always sends you notice of free updated sofware keeping up with the latest so you can burn . Never a issue. So far in my opinion, best so far. What ever works for you i guess.
