I bought this for $4.95 from Buy.com. Works great.
Loaded woth lots of task bar jamming crap. Carefully pick and chose your installations. I was so fed up with it, I hard workerto Nero 6 Express.
I think this is the newer suite 3 instead of the cheaper suite 1.
Do a custom install & avoid Nero 8.
Can someone tell me is this the whole burning package or just add-ons? In other words, do i need Nero buring ROM somehow separately? Thanks in advance.
Is this version Vista compatible?
I use ROXIO for vista, and its pretty good!!!
#6, The link on YesBuy states, "Latest Version Compatible with all versions of Windows including Vista."
Nero 6 was the best, but won't work with vista.
8 is ok if you just install the 3 things you need and not the 50 you do not.
I think this works great. I ran into a problem with audio sync...but it has been resolved - use smaller video files.
Since Nero fiddled while Rome burned why should I care about this? Probably burn down my rig or at least hose it up severely.
don't let the word 'full' confuse you. This is still 'essentials'.
It might come with Recode 2, but many codecs have only 30-day licenses -- g, MPEG-4. Although I do have to say it's 2-2.5x faster than open source MPEG-4 encoders under Windows (most using Cygwin or MinGW), and still about 50% than native open source MPEG-4 encoders under Linux.
