I have bad luck w/ Netgear- All my recent plastic Netgear routers ( bought for my customer) suffer from stability issue.
However the old blue metal box Netgear router seem working good for me...

Funny, but not really all that surprising. Those blue netgear boxes were built like a brick, literally. You could have one fall from a desk onto your foot and break a goddamn toe. I never had a router though -- only the switches.

One time, when I wanted to get a message across to someone, I attached a note to an old Netgear router and threw that through their window, thought using a router sent more fear into them than using a brick.

This is a awesome router. I tried 5 different wireless N routers from Linksys, Buffalo, Netgear and D-link. Not the cheap ones either, all of them retailed between $120-200. This Netgear was the only device to give solid coverage to every inch of my 3 story 2700 sq/ft house. All the others would die and could not reach the 3rd floor North side. Throughput is fast and the connection is solid with the WNDR3700. I'd gladly buy another.

Routers jumping off desks and flying out windows is a common phenomenon?
