Wow, looks juicy. But I've also found that none of my machines know what to do with the push-mode. Or it could just be my thick skull.
I guess, as a new 11N owner, it also pays to check which bands the router uses. My Trendnet only uses the 2.4GHz frequency, which of course is the same as all the other wireless things in my house (cordless phones, etc.). I think some also drop from dual-band to single when you allow 11g, 11b, etc.
Seems like a pretty crazy deal to me, although some complain that this model lacks longevity (with a few saying it conks out around 4-5 months). That's fine if you have a backup and Netgear can RMA for you a brand new unit. By then, firmware for this guy should be more stable and may perhaps help the longevity issue as well.
Hard to go wrong for $27 after taxes and shipping as well.
The End.
watch out. this is a recertified unit, which only comes with 90 days warranty. the brand new one is $59.99 at newegg with 1 yr warranty.
Can I do dd-wrt firmware on this router?
No, it's not supported. Only the WNR834B
I hear this device is not reliable for longer than 6 month.
