I got one of these last time. The 9-volt battery has to be jammed in forcefully and still sticks out so that the cover can't be put back on. Are 9-volt batteries smaller in China like everything else?
had the same problem. it fits if you compress the foam under the battery.
Mine has a power button, but I can't figure out how to turn it off without either removing the battery or letting the battery discharge in the unit.
