I like their Dv6t with i7-720 and GT230M combo, would have pulled the trigger, but the only option for the 15.6" screen is 1366x768?!

Just for what its worth I have a HDX16 that I upgraded with all Bluray DVD, Bluetooth, larger battery, HiDef monitor, etc.

It is now 11.9 months old an I have recently had 2 problems with it. First the Blueray drive stopped working properly and HP replaced it. Second and most recently, the computer would abruptly power off when lifted off the table occasionally. After only 1/2 hour of diagnosis with the tech they recalled it to have "some capacitors replaced on the montherboard".

I'm not complaining, it has been a good machine and they have responded to all my problems, but when the warrenty runs out at the end of this month, I fear I will have a lemon.

Oh one more thing... I will never buy the larger battery pack again. The weight increases by 50% at least and it grossly protrudes from the underside of the chassis.

I stopped trusting HP after they failed to recall my nvidia gpu and it failed right after the warranty expired.

The gpu was soldered on the mobo.... total loss of $1000
Instead of cheaping out they should have used one of the GPU connector cards (MXM ?).

      GPU was the nvidia 8600GT

I'm trippin, but the coupon code doesn't seem to be working for me. Maybe I'll try again later.
