Refurbished and no free shipping.
I am not familiar with these particular speakers but there's nothing wrong with refurb.
refurb. That means someone blew the speakers or just returned them. The frequencies range they quote in not obtainable with 2.5" speakers. They are liars.
Its has a 4" and a 2.5" Might have to pick a couple pair of them up for my new budget theater project.
[Insert joke here]
Cambridge Soundworks... the other "Bose".
I like Fig Newtons, but these....
"The mechanic said I blew a seal...I told him to fix the damn car and leave my personal life out of it."
#3, low frequencies are easily attainable by 2.5 inch speakers but the catch is that their intensity is terribly low. If you placed your ear against the speakers you could hear the lows. Kind of like how tiny headphones produce lows.. just that you can only hear highs when the headphones are a little away.
That said, these fellows are liars, considering that they publish measurements from the speaker cone instead of those pulled from an average listening distance.
out of stock?
I'm out of stock? No you're out of stock, this whole court room is out of stock. And who brought the seal?
About the only things Cambridge Soundworks has in common with Bose is that both are popular and come from Massachusetts. Cambridge Soundworks makes very solid, highly rated speakers for reasonable prices. They avoid the gimmicks and low quality components employed by Bose. I've had one of their four-piece speaker systems for about ten years and am very happy with it.
CSW doesn't use very high quality components, either. I would put their performance very close to Bose.
