The d/l is for the installer which goes online and installs the game manager and the game.

After everything was done. I uninstalled just the game manager (add/remove programs) which also gets rid of all the extra desktop icons and gets rid of the 2 pop ups when you quit the game.

Note: You have to change the path in the desktop shortcut to the exe for the game.
ie; from LaunchGame.bfg to Asylum Conspiracy.exe

If you are worried about it phoning home, before you start the game, just click your ZA internet lock, if you have it.

All in all - for free and something to do, go for it.
