For those interested in this item, I have some pros and cons to share.

      Pros
      - Small and light enough to fit in shirt or pants pocket
      - Menus are pretty straight forward
      - Takes good outdoor pictures (but so do all digital cameras)

      Cons
      - Use the wrist strap. This camera is so small and thin, it is very easy to drop
      - Flash recharge time is slow
      - Poor battery life. It seems like I have to recharge the battery all the time. The flash especially drains it - not surprising given the very small size of the rechargeable battery.
      - Poor indoor pictures.
      - Poor high ISO pictures. Don't even try it.

Bottom line, this camera is OK as a secondary camera. You can do much better.

The reason for this is the ultra small in size (much smaller than the Canon 790). My wife can carry it in her purse all the time now (besides her 2Mpixel iphone which has no flash). Another plus is that the S210 can let you zoom during video recording (canon and Lumix cannot).

I placed an order with Amazon because they can still free ship it before xmas... buy.com want anther $5. Also buy.com charged sale tax to MA. Amazon ended up couple bugs cheaper (this is sell by Amazon as well not third party).

There is a ultra compact camera comparsion:

This C210 is not the best but good enough to be "Recommended".

Ashton says to buy this - I say to go for a comparable Canon.

As #3 posted, read the reviews, then get the Canon 790IS
