ISO is up to 3200 not 2300. Good price for this camera!

Great camera. Easy to use, and fantastic image quality. Low light sensitivity is great, as it actually goes up to the equivalent of ISO 6400. You can get the two lens kit (18-55mm and 55-200mm lenses) for $900 at Costco and other camera stores as well.

Nikon is crappy, Ashton Kutcher made it worse.

Been using Nikon SLR's for almost 20 years and in my opinion, when buying an enthusiast level SLR you can't go wrong with Nikon or Canon. I stick with Nikon SLR's because for years the Nikkor lenses were superior to other manufactures in the enthusiast price range, but the gap has all but closed especially with Canon. Oh and all of my lenses still work on the new models, unlike other manufactures which change the mounts every few years.
Move up to an SLR...you won't regret it!

      #3 what are you on?

Nikon makes great DSLR cameras, the point and shoot are not perfect by any means but for the most part do the trick. I prefer the larger cameras due to the fact that I can interchange lenses. I have couple of older Nikons and Cannons and can tell it was money well spent and these are rock solid

I love being able to still use my lenses on the newer models. I don't mind buying a new lense every now and then, but every time I upgrade to a newer body. Nikon is a good way to go!
