Well, well, well, it looks like Consumer Reports finally "got with the program" and stopped comparing 2 year-old Pentax models to newer Canon and Nikon models. Result?
The Pentax K200D now tops their charts for "entry-level," much like most other sites do at its price point. Not surprising because Pentax basically took the award winning K10D features, minus a few, costly high-end options (g, the penta-prism) and remade their entry-level line in January.
Now if they'd actually review a Pentax lens other than the 3 year-old, $50 one, maybe we'd have some more apples-to-apples reviews as well. Had someone quote me that "the Pentax lens sucks, I'm buying the Nikon" when they were comparing that $50 18-55 to the $500 VR 18-200. Yeah.
Tax kills the deal
