Wow these bring back some memories... Had a set in high school (or s/t similar) and I could not for the life of me (or anyone else's hehe) how to throw them consistently so it wud hit point 1st. I had a friend however who was a black belt and he kept a small set in his back pocket - next to his wallet - and he mastered making it look as if he was going for his wallet (in case of getting mugged... we lived in NY) and in one motion pulling out and throwing the knife. Friggin bullseye 9 out of 10 times! away!
Good throwing knives have to be balanced back- to-front. Then, the technique is to NOT use any wrist action, but to throw w/ a straight arm, either over- or under style. But, each set of knives has a set rotation that will determine the distance at it which the point will face the target, which MUST be figured out. Not hard, just tricky and reqs. much practice. BTDT.
My enemies will never see me coming!
Gives limited standoff distance if someone shows up for a knife fight with a gun.
Great for dinners with relatives you can't stand! My those are unusual steak knives!
Are these TSA friendly?
