Will this code work on the DSi as well?
Just checked, it does work on the DSI, which makes the DSi 152.99
Has anyone seen how well DSi (152.99) works?
Is it worth the upgrade to the DSi?
what's the difference between DS lite and DSI?
Just get the DSI its worth the extra 40 bucks. Its better to get that instead of being stuck with the old one.
No mention of DSi in the post, though.
Just like the new PSP coming out is out to nix the hacking ability, all the DSi is for is to nix those flash cards that allow you to play games for free. Although there are flash cards for the DSi. I've read that if you go online with the DSi, you will download a firmware that will block most flash cards.
If you already have a phone with a camera, you don't need to buy the DSi. It just has an upgraded camera feature.
Sort of like the new Malibu Stacy, but with a new hat.
We have three kids and three DSi's now - the biggest differences hardware wise are screen size, built-in cameras (yes, there are two), lack of a GameBoy cartridge slot (bummer for the Guitar Hero in your family), and a new charger plug format. The machine also has an SD memory slot that you can use for storing music, photos and downloaded content.
Software wise this is a whole new ball game over the DS and DS Lite - there is a music player with sound editing software, photo album/editing software, downloadable content, a DSi store (similar to the Wii Shop channel).
WiFi compatibility/stability seems much better than the DS Lite's we had, and can be configured via the DSi main menu rather than through game menus.
Definitely worth the extra bucks, IMHO.
in for one
AS I posted in the other link, I think the DSi's are not worht the extra expense. One loses the gameboy socket rendering old games unplayable. Add to the the gimmicky inclusion of a camera (who's going to take pictures with this beast??!!), the DSlite's the way to go in my book.
Are there new R4, M3 cards that work for the DSi?
at least i could still play my GBA game. the DSI doesn't have the GBA slot cause it's more compact in size
Very tempted to get this, always wanted a DS.
same here already have a psp. should i also get ds?
I prefer the DS lite because of the ability to play old GBA games. I see the cameras on the DSi as pointless toys that wear out quickly.
Good deal with free shipping. Nintendo slowly dropping the price on this one since the DSi is out now.
Make sure you know what you want to do with it before getting it. It's a toss between DSi and DS Lite. GBA support or new DSi game support. Something to think about.
I'd stick with the DS lite. You get a camera that you'll never use, lower battery life, and a hard time playing copied games.
DS lite is neat. DSi has a bigger screen and a camera. dun think i would upgrade to a DSi (no R4...) when i have a digital camera and a camera phone...
I picked one of these up and was satisfied. The stylus games get a little old though. I wish they just used the dpad
