Update: Dell & PayPal have used up their budget allocation for this promo.

Dell Home has the Nintendo DS Lite System (Crimson/Black) for $130 - 20% off using PayPal = $104 with free shipping. The DS Lite is one of the most popular and innovative (not to mention fun) portable gaming systems. [Review : BizRate]

I went through checkout and the 20% didn't show up anywhere. Tax kind of kills the deal anyway. Makes it $115 after tax. Can get this anytime for $120 from Buy.com after GCO.

Ben, find us a deal where there is no tax and no shipping with the 20% off Paypal for this Crimson DS Lite.

Others are saying that the 20% you won't see back from paypal until mid to late January. Most likely so they can show a high profit this quarter (even if they are shortsighted enough to just get boned in the next quarter).

Not working either, I had to reactivate my Paypal account and zippo... Come on!
Figured out that it's a Cashback (hence the name...) to be refunded in January... oh well I can wait.

I think this deal was dead even before it was posted. I tried buying a camera awhile ago, and don't see anythng on Dell or Paypal's site about 20% off from Dell. It's not on the slider either. I think Dell went the way of Newegg already.

Nice. I was totally impressed by the DS, especially for the price. It sure beats passively waiting for my commute to be over.

Looks like you can still snag one from Toys R Us, if you can live with the white one. All other colors are "temporarily unavailable for online purchase".

TRU charges shipping. If you have to pay tax too you're not really saving much. PayPal strikes again...

Dell's website still shows the deal:
    http://www.dell.com/content/topics/segtopic.aspx/paypal_offer?c=us&cs=19&l=en&s=dhs

I am on hold with politicians (Dell's CS) and I haven't gotten an answer yet as for the validity of the deal. The promotion states that it will not appear anywhere on the order.

It is time for a new portable console emulator. Maybe XBOX should take a crack at one this time. Idea

I bought the XFX 8800Gt this morning while the deal was supposedly still active. Does anyone know how to confirm that I indeed got it (aside from waiting until late January to be disappointed)? Should it show up anywhere?

Supposedly, you spend the money at qualifying stores, and you get 20% back in January.
