do these make any difference in graphics?
#3, it really depends on your TV. If you have a huge screen HDTV then yes, it will marginally improve the image. If your Wii is hooked up to a 20" CRT TV then you'll probably not see much difference.
I thought the Wii will only do 480p. Why do u need a HD component cable for that?

When I first looked into the component connector for the Wii, people said it made some games look worse, giving them a squared off edges look (like Zelda). Is this still the case or do most games work well now?
I havent tried Zelda, but it makes galaxy, sports, and a few other games i have look better (i have a 42" 1080p toshiba).
