Refurb or not, that's a good price.
Based on the reviews at Newegg, this is a crappy deal. Most people got systems that are missing parts or which were in bad shape. Also, these were not refurbished by Nintendo but by a third party. If anything goes wrong, Nintendo will charge you to repair it. Spend the extra $60 and get a new one.
If it is not retest and pack by original manufacture- it is not worth the headache...
I bought one. And, thanks to anyone that said some BS to scare away buyers or I might have missed it.
Wait, rodeo cowboy are still buying the Wii? Might as well just get a Nintendo and a Power Glove if you don't care about graphics but you really need a gimmicky controller.
hey wiseass, why don't you look at the reviews on newegg. it looks like it's a pretty crappy deal. hope you don't get ripped off. you should invest in the time to make sure it's a legit deal because raripple has his info straight.
#4 Good luck!
If I will buy Wii console, I will only buy those with Mod chip installed..
From my experience with Newegg, they will take care of any problems with the unit or missing parts. Have any of you people even dealt with Newegg? If you had, you'd know not to worry about buying from them.
#8 is spot on. NewEgg is more of the Nordstrom league of retailers when it comes to customer satisfaction. I have also had great experiences with Amazon also especially when it comes to returns.
#5 Laugh all you want. Nintendo won this round of the hardware wars. While Microsoft and Sony split the hardcore gamer market with expensive boxes that cranked graphics but had to be sold at a loss, each Wii sold has generated a profit for Nintendo, from day one, and they can't produce enough to keep them in stock even years after release because their target demographic is everyone else in the world.
That said, I wouldn't touch this deal with a stick. Newegg is sure to help you, because Newegg is awesome, but a bunch of BF deals have sold new Wiis for a net of $170 after gift cards and the like. If I were in the market for a Wii I'd go with that.
Refurbished too bad as the price is great, base on all the bad reviews here I will have to abstain from buying it.
#5 Dude.. Graphics dont make the game. A game can look totally realistic and still suck.
Gameplay is the key.
#12 is right.
Mystery refurb is the latest "new in box" crap from the old eBay days.
awsome price!
Gameplay is the key.
Agreed, but being that I'm not 10 years old and/or mentally retarded the gameplay on the Wii doesn't appeal to me...

Maybe not literally anyways...
