Wii is a second console only. You need a PS3/360/Gaming computer to really have some digital fun. Wii is for getting loaded and flailing around with your friends.
I agree. I'm going Xbox or PS3 when I get the scratch. Wii should be cheaper for what it is.

wii is great for the grandparents and younger kids though. Grandma and grandpa love to bowl with the kids at my household.
It depends on your gaming. Cant play mario on the xbox or ps3.

This definitely should be cheaper. It is fun console but you can't really compare it to Xbox 360 or PS3.

#6, what exactly is an "Avid gamer", and why would they limit themselves to one console or genre of games?
There are a lot of really fun titles for the Wii, and also some top notch downloadable content. I suggest you give it a try.
IMHO the one downside of the Wii is max resolution of 480i through component connection.
