Wii-licous
This is the game system to beat. Just imagine after the success of this version, they get to improve the graphics and speed and release another, edgier version.
Everyone I have seen who has played the Wii has thoroughly enjoyed it. It is truly a family game system the way the original systems were conceived.
I just ordered one from Amazon. No tax so that is awesome. I hope they don't run out so I can get one.
nice free shipping, i want to play mario galaxy
It was amazing how fast the Wii outsold the XBOX 360.
It's hard to believe they're still in short supply from last year's Christmas rush.
Wii is for children. For man, ladies and gents, get an XBOX 360.
I doubt Nintendo will much improve graphics and speed of the Wii--that's not what they're about, and that's why the Wii only costs $250. Obviously, for the next iteration, everything will have to be improved, but it won't (purposely) be on par with Xbox 360 or PS3.
If I could afford it, I'd snag a Wii.

Had one in the cart... almost bought it... then I remembered that the credit card was already nearly maxed out.
Maybe next time.
F amazon.. I tried to order 1 for my cousin and they said I was past the quantity limit? I ordered mine in October and the policy is 3 per calendar month.
I just bought three. Im going to have some really happy friends this xmas
out already, nuts...
I bought this during last christmas. It was great fun playing wii sports for few weeks. Zelda was okay, but Metroid and mario galaxy.. drool~ Since Mario Galaxy is out now, it might be a good time to grab one.
That sold out ridiculously fast. Can't wait for Smash Brothers though. I don't know about where you guys are but in NY if you go to GameStop on 34st you can buy one. Not to mention watiting outside Nintendo World at Rockefeller Center in the morning, you can get one there as well.
I'm not a hard core gamer and play all my FPS games on my PC, making the Wii the perfect system for me. I don't get to play enough to justify the cost of 360 or PS3 (at least until I get around to buying an HDTV).
Plus I've seen great deals on games (buy 2 get 1 free) which makes it even better.
it's almost christmas. holiday season. you gotta be quick. game consoles and games are gonna be out quicker than lightning.
I cannot believe these things are still selling out like they do.
It's amazing that Nintendo still can't produce enough of these to keep up with demand after the Wii has been out for a full year. How can they still be unable to ramp up production to keep these things in stock?
Under-production can be a very effective scheme. It allows companies to get free exposure, either through the media or word of mouth. Sony has been mastering this scheme since the coming out of the PS2.
Dammit -- I want one!
Found one at Wal-Mart around Oct 1 and had my Wal-Mart employee friend with me to get me a 10% discount -- woohoo. Cost me about $250 after tax and extended warranty.
