These seem to be much easier to find locally than online.

I was in a local Best Buy a couple days ago and they had a stack of ~30 of them just sitting in the aisle next to a GHIII display. Look around locally - they are out there to be had.

Under-production might be a very effective scheme, but come on it's been almost a year, a more effective money making scheme would be to have them in the store. It's not even as complicated as the other consoles, it uses older/weaker chips.

Call your local Gamestop, Gamecraze, EB, etc. every week. They get a few in a week. Ask what day their shipment is and what time. Call every hour around that time. This is how I got mine recently after only 1 week of seriously looking.

I was playing super mario galaxy all night last night.

I need to buy 2 of these actually. One for a friend and one for my retired parents. Christmas presents.

#32, I'm guessing the game is as good as the reviews say! I ordered one from family video (they had a nice discount), but still haven't received it (or not even a confirmation that it was sent).. I can't wait to play G!!!! Until then, I have CoD 4 for my 360 to keep me busy. Smile

#30 the extended warranty is 3 years for about $16 -- I can afford the hit.

jeez I can't believe the Wii is still selling out. The graphics are just sad after playing the 360. The controllers are innovative for about 5 minutes, then you are reduced to laying on your ass on the couch flicking the remote once in a while. I am not such a hardcore gamer, being that I work two jobs and am a full time student, yet I still find the Wii boring as hell. Nothing beats a good level of Halo 3, cracking Brutes over the head blowing crap up -- even if I suck at it. Also, It's funny -- I live in NYC, and I don't think Nintendo World at Rockafeller center ever ran out of Wii's -- no one thinks to check there.

#22, Nintendo hasn't been underproducing. They've been expanding production and still sell out. Nintendo has no incentive to underproduce -- they make money on every unit they sell (unlike Microsoft and Sony). Nintendo's profits and stock have been through the roof since the launch.
