BestBuy.com has the Nintendo Wii Console by itself for $250 + $10 shipping = $260 shipped. Also be careful with the controller, lest you injure yourself and wind up as yet another Wii injury statistic. [Compare]

Here we go again. Retail plus shipping is a great deal, right everybody?

#2, theres a tidbit in the latest men's health magazine that showed that playing wii tennis only burned an additional 1 calorie over traditional video gaming. That was most likely chalked up to standing over sitting down to play.

i really hope people stop seeing this as a 'healthy' video game console.
if you want to burn calories and play video games, get the power pad for NES.

    I dispute #7s "indisputable fact".

When this Wii fad comes to light(within 24 months), you will be able to pick one up for less than $100.

Nintendo finally caught up with the demand for the Wii, so they are easy to find in stock.

They will have to either lower the price, or bring out an upgraded model to continue with the past sales volume.

Since there is no indication of a new version comming out this year, expect a price drop. Will likely be $199 at christmas, with even better deals on Black Friday.

The last 2 retail stores I've been to have had at least a dozen in stock in the case. Before that, I had only seen Wii(s) in stock at retail stores 3 times in the last 2 years.

Unless you're ducking tax at Amazon or something ... or you live nowhere near a Best Buy or Walmart or something... paying retail + shipping isn't so much of a deal anymore.

At least the only good game already comes with the system Smile *ducks*
