No a new Wii isn't coming out. Nintendo will continue milking this cow for years to come. And I agree totally with the comments about the games sucking. Add me to the list of having it collect dust for a year and a 1/2 straight. Last time I touched it is when the homebrew channel came out and that was only fun for about an hour.

They need to come out with games that will fully utilize the unique Wii control system. Boom Blox really opened my eyes to how different a video game can be. It's not an amazing game but it's entertaining and it's not a button smasher like many games turn out to be.

Unfortunately, game producers can't make games across platforms if the idea of the game is to utilize the many different user interface the Wii allows. Boom Blox is unique to Wii and I doubt there will be many games that only target Wii users because you cut the sales potential. I hope Nintendo makes their own games in order to milk this system as it has the potential to live past PS5 or any other platforms as long as it remains the only console with the free control system.

I got a new wii and wii fit for $308 from eBay after the 30% promotion. We play it every once in a while, but honestly we got bored with it. Probably should sell it while the market is good.

Mario Kart and Mario Galaxy are awesome. bacon-lust 3 is good also. Resident Evil 4 is ok, especially if you didn't play it on the Gamecube. No More Heroes was absolute rubbish despite the hype.
If you've had the Wii for more than a year, it is probably collecting dust because you've played all the good games already.
If you don't have one yet, you could get it now, or wait for the price to drop (I'm guessing by summer). Nintendo seems to have adopted the mysterious strategy of not making any more games for this system.
