Or just go there...with $20 shipping they should throw in a game to make this worth it, they're light so it wouldn't add too much weight
no tax and free ship please
Just the fact that these are available is what makes it a "deal". It continues to be very hard to find these in anything other than a package deal (buy 3-5 games you don't want with it).
Tax and shipping pushes this deal real close to $290. I'll wait for amazon.
Supply seems to be correcting. Saw a whole shelf full at Costco Tues. Also notice how the bundles are getting smaller and smaller. Toysrus was trying to push a $500 dollar bundle just a week or two ago and here it is by itself with just a $20 dollar shipping charge.
I say give it another 2 weeks and you can buy it anywhere you damn well please. I personally am not sold on the game selection. What is there that is any good. Mario Galaxy and Smash Bros have ZERO appeal to me.
notice how the "increase" in supplies for the Wii since GTA IV is coming out on both PS3 and 360?
Or maybe the general public has finally realized that they're just buying a newer model of PS2 in the Wii?
Someone posted this advice a while back and I used it back one in November. I was able to get one for regular, unbundled price in about a week. Basically call your local Gapestop, Gamecraze, EB, etc. and ask what day they get them in. Then on that day call in the morning and ask when the truck comes in. Then start calling every hour around that time. As soon as they come in go to the store and buy one. Usually they get 2-3 units in a week. They last anywhere from a few hours to a whole day depending on the day of the week.
I am sure you can do this with bigger retail stores too. If you can't get one in a week then you are not trying hard enough. It's really not that hard.
All sold out already !! :{
Don't bother with Toy's R Us online.
Toys R US's warehouse system and website are NOT in synch. They have no idea when the warehouse is out of stock, so they continue to take orders after the fact. When they realize they are over the limit, they just cancel your order. No discounts for future purchases, etc, to make up for their mistake. Not getting my business again!
I bought one at the local Best Buy this weekend. $270 + tax. Worth every penny.
looks like the demand is not as high as before.
Its sold out
I'll just wait 'til it's no longer rare & buy it from Amazon. thanx
#7 is correct. I employed this technique with my local gamestop and scored a Wii no problem. I called them asking when the next shipment is coming in and what time. That day and time I called in and they were in stock. Jetted down to the store and got one. The Wii is awesome! I own the 360 as well.
My kids and I've been waiting to buy a Wii since November. I refuse to buy a bundle with a lot of games I don't need. I'm not going to drive several miles to wait in line at a store although I did get up early one Sunday to try at Circuit City. I'll be out camping in the woods with scouts this weekend. I have better things to do than calling around asking about whether or not stores have them in stock.
So when I got the Toys R Us alert this morning, I ordered it. I don't yet have a shipping notice, so maybe it will get cancelled. Maybe I could drive over to the store and pick one up. Maybe availability is increasing. I heard with the dollar being low, Nintendo was making more money selling them in Europe and was sending more stock there.
But I figure one of these days, the Wii Tracker service will have helped me get a Wii without a huge markup and without my wasting my time and gas. Today may be the day. Maybe next week or next month. In any case, thank you for providing the service. It's appreciated.
#15 I'm not sure what the issue is. It wasn't a hassle for me at all. I just called the local gamestop a total of 2x and picked it up the day they said the shipment was coming in.
Here's one for sale on eBay:

Circuit City is taking orders right now on-line.
wii or ps3 are the way to go i had an xbox 360 and never played it but the other two i play all the time.
I have an order for a Wii console that I recently found out via email is now backordered. The guy I spoke to on the phone "thinks" I'll get it sometime in the next few days - we'll see.
