Costco has the Nintendo Wii U 8GB Basic Console, White for $245 + 5% non-member surcharge = $257 with free shipping. Features 1080p video output, 8GB internal flash storage and is backward compatible with the Nintendo Wii.
I don't think they got this right. It was like "how do we take advantage of handheld devices and a console" and they came up with this which is not good at either and certainly nothing special together.
Cool, still too much money though. Hopefully, this is the start of an unofficial price drop or like free 50 buck game with purchase type trend.
Who would spend this much on a console anymore?
Aren't they regularly 249.99?
The basic is still $300 and Nintendo vows not to lower the price (yet) despite sales being slow up to this point.
I will take a Wii all over this deal.
