Oh yeah a BTW...I returned an item on December 22 to a T-Mobile store that I paid by check. They said I had to wait and get a check back from T-Mobile. Well, I'm still waiting. It's been a month. The store said it would be five days. I only took the router home and brought it back the next day. I'm out $161. A bunch of crooks. Buyer beware!
poorass, You get $25 prepaid card which you can deposit to your prepaid account. They have two plans pay-per-day or just pay as you use which gets subtracted from your pre-paid account. The pay-per-day plan charges $1 per day on the day you use your phone but you get unlimited 7pm to 7am (actually midnight since you have to pay another $1 if you use it the next day) and $0.10/minute during peak. The other plan charges per minute use only but to get $0.10/minute you need to deposit $100. For a $25 pre-paid deposit you get 130 minutes (around $0.20/minute). Also with $25 pre-paid card, once you activate you have 90days to use it before it expires ($100 gets you 1 year experation).
Also I would recommend you get the quad band phone if you travel ouside the US. You can get t-mobile to unlock it once you have been a customer for over 3 months (better resell value on ebay). They have the Motorola V195 which is quad band and uses a sim card for $30 with the $25 pre-paid card.

How do the minutes work? Has anyone tried this?
