Can we use Wi-Fi to e-mail without disturbing the carrier (so they don't charge us)?
Yes, you can.
yep yep. have one. use wireless when i can. no charge for data.
need the touch screen.
my friend has this phone and the keyboard is really small
#5 It's no smaller than most others like on the BBs for example - each key surface has a slight arc to it making it very usable actually. I spent some time testing it and I was typing beautifully.
How is it compare to the Nokia 5530 XpressMusic?
I have the older (non-US) version which is bigger. This one is too small IMHO, but you can/will get used to it.
E series is more business oriented. I wouldn't recommend comparing E's, N's and #### series without knowing the differences between the series.
I have an E51nc which is the same as the E71 except a T9 keypad. It's a very good business phone that actually looks like a phone. Wifi, email, browser, music, etc. The only drawback with Nokia phone is that Mail for Exchange does not sync subfolders (yet). There are ways around this, though.
Question, I want to buy a Nokia N86 for a relative in Israel. Will they have any problems using an unlocked "US version" of a phone there?
