Bought this about 3 months ago and I love it. I already had a kindle but the nook is so much nicer. Only downside to nook is that their books are more expensive and they have less free books than amazon.
Purchased mine in March 2012 and rooted it. As a rooted e-reader it's awesome with a few exceptions. Paid ~$99 for it. Worth the money. Battery life is over stated if wifi enabled. If you don't root it it's fine, though I do miss a back light and wifi is limited to Barnes and Noble web site.
