I bought one use just a couple months ago for $150 used. Very nice unit and it can be hacked to be a full android tablet.

There is literally not a single android tablet that is better at this price point. This is a great tablet at a crappy-cheap Chinese knockoff price.

Does this thing stream Netflix and can you load your standard android games (angry birds, etc,)? For my 8 year old these things are a must.

#12, yes to both but you need to install Cyanogen or other ROM. I have one with cyanogen nighlies and netflix works as well as all my apps from android and amzn markets.

I agree with techsupport. Grab an SD card running Cyanogen and have fun, Great device in Nook form and modded Android form. At this price I might buy a second one.

This is really tempting especially if I can run Cyanogen.

Battery life is probably in the 8 hour range depending upon what you're doing. I've never run it down in one session so I am not sure. I just reacharge when I happen to notice it getting low. Be careful if you're intending to run a ROM from SD card. Some brands of cards work better than others and some will not work at all. I believe Sandisk is the recommended brand. These caveats don't apply if you're just booting from SD to load a new ROM in main memory. I did not bother keeping the original OS and run Cyanogen from main memory. It's not as smooth or capable as my Ipad 2 but I prefer the smaller form factor.
