eBay with Barnes & Noble has the refurbished nook color Wi-Fi eBook Reader (BNRV200) for $135 with free shipping. Features a 7" color display with 16 million colors, Wi-Fi support, 8GB internal storage, and micro SD support.
Not the best deal, but pretty good. I bought one a few weeks back for $125. Pop in a 16GB microSD with Cyanogen Mod and I have a fully functional 7-inch WiFi Android tablet. A little slow at times but hard to beat for $125.
Very true, price is a big selling point. I got lucky with the touchpad fire sale but it got stolen, but insurance replaced it with a transformer prime so no complaints. Had a friend go thru 3 refurbs before they replaced it with a new one.
These aren't bad, especially at this price. A little slow, but the screen is beautiful. CyanogenMod rocks. Only problem I really have with it: no audio input, even through a bluetooth headset, so no skype possible.
Just ordered this. Am downloading the Cyanogen Mod app now. However, would I do better to try the Android 4,0 (Ice Cream Sandwich), to mod it? Thanks for any reply.
My Nook Color is running the Cyanogen 7 Gingerbread(I believe it's called) Android Version two point three. It works fine. I had tried Honeycomb 3.0 at one time but it wasn't very stable. It's been running 2.3 for a while now. Are there any better upgrade options for the Nook Color out there now?
Watch out for the USB charger cable on these. The cable has hard plastic ends that break. After doing a search on the internet, it is a common problem. The cable is special in that it has a longer mini USB connector that has a double row of charging pins to provide more amps than a normal cable could. My wife broke hers and B&N replaced it because it is still in warranty. Just be careful when plugging the cable in so you do not damage it.
JimmyJ, Yea the end of their designer cable broke off on mine also. The (I think its a mini USB, probably wrong) cable that came with my Droid phone works great plugged into the Nook Color power brick.

Make sure to use a ROM that overclocks. Still slow, but better.

I think Cyanogen Froyo is the most relatively bug free version. I have not heard of a stable ICA or HC release.
