For $154, this razor better shave my ass and my mom's back.
My fiance got me the model which is right above this one and the only difference is that mine has a battery indicator. I believe its the 1260X.
Anyways, prior to owning it i had two other cheap $25-30 shavers (1 from panasonic, 1 from norelco). Honestly, this one doesnt cut any closer than the other two. The panasonic while strong, does pull sometimes. The best improvement i see on this shaver over my cheap ones is that the trimmer works really well. The battery lasts me a very long time without charging, and the shaver just looks super awesome. Its like the Aston Martin of shavers.
But overall, it does shave slightly faster... too bad it cant do the job as fast as an aston martin can do 0-60mph.
I have the 1280 and it is phenomenal. You have to make sure that your face is dry and not perspired or use shaving cream. It seems that I get my closest shaves with shaving cream.
