they told me that clear's coverage on the wimax network is unlimited bandwidth and is really only available in some major metro areas and when you leave those coverage areas, you "roam" without the roaming fees on sprint's network at 3g speeds with a 5gb cap. the price is very attractive but still not sure if i should go for it or stick with verizon (which i use for mobile and am happy with)

just make sure you change the default security details. recent slashdot article on an 'exploit' of these things that relies on people never changing the defaults.

Or, you can get a windows mobile cell phone from AT&T, buy the data package for $30/month, download the wifi router software from xda-forums, and your cell phone becomes a wireless wifi hot spot. And the best part is, that you can still make phone calls while using the data at over 1 mbps.

#7 =1 other than at&t. I just got back from a 4 hour road trip and used my touch pro 2 with wmwifi router for about an hour and a half to surf. No problems and no extra charges.
