#1 So did it take 10 versions to finally understand how to recognize speech? Nah, I'm holding out until V20 By then all the kinks should be ironed out, right? Smile

The iPhone freebie works pretty good, I can only imagine what the program can do on a real computer.

things will never work 100% out of the box. but the technology is good IF you know how to use it. I use an older version extensively at work (as a radiologist) and with the proper training and giving it the right context (e not saying one word at a time) it's pretty darn accurate. Don't know if it's any good for daily computer use, but if you have to generate a lot of reports, letters, etc. it's probably worth the investment of time and money. Just know that you'll need a good sound card and microphone.

My dad has this program and likes it quite a bit, but there is a known conflict with Comodo AV/Firewall and the two cannot be used together. Just FYI... Apparently this issue has been around for a while and Nance won't (can't?) fix it.
