Exactly. Has anyone had a problem with their Wii overheating? They don't have hard drives!

Wii's do indeed overheat. Try a search for Wii and disabling wireless more detail.

    Is this thing loud?
I just moved the Wii into a closed cabinet, have never noticed it heating up, but don't ever play more than an hour or two.

Agree with #4. These things are ridiculously loud.

My Atari 2600 never had over heating problems. You think they would design these things better nowdays. Even my PS3 runs cool and quiet, I always crack on my friends 360 with a tornado sounding add-on fan! crazy loud!

You should disable Connect 24, it can overheat your gpu.

I also want to echo to never turn on Connect24. Also, newer Jasper 360s don't overheat.

I wouldn't say this is ridiculously loud, but they are loud without any noise in the background. If you have the TV turned up though, you don't hear it at all. And I'd just rather have a piece of mind that my Wii's wireless won't fry my GPU or other devices.

Buy this instead. It'll keep your room as well as your Wii cool.

Look at Monoprice.com.... with tax and shipping and a few other items to spread the cost of shipping, their fan unit is cheaper w/o a sale/coupon.
