Meh - tiger direct had these for $250 a couple of weeks ago.
Biggest complaints in the reviews are rejected rebates, and infant mortality.
That was then... today still TigD shows them at $254 working the same $20 rebate. I like this deal better, $10 is lower and as I'll always be buying from Egg there's no issue.
In certain B-M not even capable of the level enthusiast levels (smaller capacity) drive can provide, but looking to having capacity and some levels of performance attained by an SSD it's not bad. I'd kind of think of trading capacity or more cash for a SSD with say the Marvell controller technology as there's been issuess with the SF2281. Though new fireware applied several months ago seen to make them less buggy. There’s sometime a good reason they are such the deal, though for a mainstream offering that big Gb’s it appears it could do the job.
