Amazon has the OCZ Agility 4 AGT4-25SAT3-128G 2.5" 128GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) for $75 - $20 rebate [Exp 9/10] = $55 with free shipping. Features up to 400MB/s read and 300MB/s write speeds, Indilinx controller, TRIM support, and health self-monitoring.
These OCZ SSDs have pretty dismal reliability ratings.
Dumping old stock.
until $55 without rebate, not even close to a deal for this older generation of drives
Somehow I'm doubting that the best of the current gen SSDs are going to sell for $1/2GB. Everyone kept saying the downside of SSDs was high cost per capacity but now you see lower cost per capacity and all you can do is long for higher cost per capacity models?
Most SSD issues are user issues. Non-technical people should stick with the higher price SSDs that are more plug-n-play like with lastest firmware and stability OOTB. For the technical minded type, get this, update the firmware first and foremost, partition it correctly per you OS of choice. Ensure all setting SSD impacting in your BIOS and OS are set accordingly and then you'll rate most of these dismal rated SSD 5-stars.
