Beware, they might bite you!
I had two of these working for a while, and for a while they were fast.
OCZ DSS drives are not for me any more since I made the mistake or purchsing two of them some months ago. I am done playing ping pong between me and the company with these pieces.
The 1st one literally lasted 38 hours (on cycle) before it gave up the ghost, and that is with the new firmware installed. The second one lasted 46 hours (on cycle) with new firmware installed.
Sure, OCZ is offering to replace them if I pay to ship them with the new RMA#, I am tired of paying to replace something that does not improve.
Now I am wondering what to do with two paperweights I don't want to give or throw away. I might give them to my wife to incorporate in one of her abstract art projects.
I do like OCZ RAM, though...
I'd stay away from the Agility Series because it is really slow when handling small transfers. I'd even stay away from the Vertex Series if it doesn't come with the latest firmware already installed because the older firmware was buggy and you stand a good chance bricking the drive if you upgrade the firmware yourself.
Anyway, the most bang for the buck is the Vertex Extended Limited Edition found only at MyDigitalDiscount.com:

I stay away from them because I'm poor.
