At this price, if I start a new build,I would rather go for DDR3...

I'm trying to upgrade an older (but still pretty fast) XP Pro system which I'm upgrading to win 7 64-bit to 8gb but at these prices I'm probably going to stick with the 4 1gb sticks that are in it. I doubt if the FSB would utilize 8gb very well anyway.

hfs - you used to be able to buy 4gb of ddr2/6400 with 4-12 for $30-40, what happened. Agree - spend this much and might as well go DDR3
