I know someone mentioned that Newegg did refund some people for failed rebates due to the rebate company going missing but I don't see any documentation on newegg's site or online to support this claim.. Does newegg's refund policy extend to denied rebates also? In other words, does anyone know where newegg says that it will honor my rebate if OCZ denies it for some asinine reason?

The sales reps at microcenter told me a similar story - that microcenter would be responsible for denied rebates if you show supporting documentation, but 2 ocz rebates later I realized that it was bu11$h1t.

#1: people on bensbargains have reported that newegg has given them the money from failed rebates. You can look up KWorld products posted on here a few months ago to see examples.

also, if the rebate house that OCZ is using denies your rebate for a bad reason, if you just post in the OCZ support forums, OCZ will send you a check directly.

So, you've got two backup options of the rebate house refuses your valid rebate.

I got my rebate from them 9 months ago, no problem at all. This is a very good price for quality ram. Worth the risk1
