that rebate is way to risky, its 1.5 times the price of the item.

At the risk of sounding like a Noob, how can I make SURE this will work in my old Dimension 4700?

#4 - A good place to check is the Crucial's Memory Advisorâ„¢ tool on their site.

I checked and the results shows that a Dimension 4700 can use up to DDR2 PC2-6400.

    Hope this helps Smile

#6, I heard inflation is coming. So better stock up those sticks while they are cheap.
Plus Taiwan government is going to bail out their DRAM industry.

The timings of 5-4-4 are a little weak.

Anyone who uses the words "mobo", "rig", or "noob" (especially with zeros) is asking to be punched in the mouth for being a douchebag.

10 - Meh, for $19, it's not bad. Sometimes you can pull in the CAS latency if you really want 4-4-4 (you just have to get lucky and end up with extra-stable sticks), but I doubt the difference will be that noticeable.

extra lucky? just get the corsair thats going for $25 ar right now (xms cas5) or wait for the ballistix. I think these are the old chips, the not so great ones the default voltage is 2.1v. At 2.1v you better be getting 4's across the board.

Next to the corsair deal this is the best. You might hurt yourself on the ones with a heatpipe

This is a great deal. Too bad the shipping isn't free.
