I worry about Meritline though, is it genuine? I try to avoid buying semi-expensive items from bulk sales sites like them.
#3, I didn't see your point. This item is supposed to be in a retail package(because of the rebate). There shouldn't be a problem on the product unless you really had a bad luck.

What generic fake doesn't appear to have packaging? I don't see what your point is.
The biggest concern is the site is a chinese based vendor. China is awesome at making sandisk sd/microsd fakes, fake nikes, and the fake SSD closed microcenter carries. lol
