It seems all rebates are switching to payment in the form of a pre-paid credit card. This seems like more trouble than it's worth.
Even without the rebate card it is still a deal at $155 w/ free shipping.
How so? Instead of having to drop off a check at a bank you can use the prepaid card almost anywhere. Spend part of the total value and the rest remains like on a debit card or spend more than the value by also giving the clerk a 2nd form of payment to cover the rest, so for all practical purposes it's as good a receiving a $20 bill except if someone steals it a check would've had to have been forged to be cashed.
